bowhead uses a layered security architecture to ensure confidentiality and integrity during data processing.
No plaintext keys in the control plane
EnforcedThe control plane cannot access encryption keys for user data. All key material is generated and used only within attested enclave memory.
Short-lived session keys
EnforcedEach compute session uses a separate ephemeral key (TTL: 1 hour). Keys are destroyed automatically after the session ends and cannot be recovered.
Data is decrypted only in enclave memory
EnforcedSensitive data remains encrypted in transit and at rest. Decryption and processing happen only in a secure enclave with verified remote attestation.
